Black Princesses and Hasaacas Ladies head coach, Yussif Basigi has called on the Ghana Football Association, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Youth Employment Agency to extend a helping hand to other technical team members of the various women’s premier league clubs.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Employment Agency and The Executive Council of the GFA took the decision on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, to enrol players and head coaches in the Women’s Premier League on the YEA Programme.
Each person will be paid five hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢500.00) as monthly allowance for the next six (6) months beginning from July 2020.
Speaking in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy Sports, Yussif Basigi pleaded with authorities to consider his mates.
“I will plead with the government and GFA to consider the other technical team members such as assistant coaches, goalkeeper trainers, masseurs among others for this package. They are not that many, so a little help for them will be great because they equally need the support”.
He further thanked the GFA and government for coming to their aid. “A sincere thank you to the GFA and government for this help because we are really suffering. God bless them for thinking about us”, he added.
