Tough talking football administrator, Abbey Pobbey has criticised Avram Grant for wasting talents and resources with his latest call ups to the national team, the Black Stars.
Avram Grant named his 23-man squad for the double header against Mozambique in AFCON 2017 qualifier with the return of goal keeper, Adam Kwarasey and versatile defender, Alfred Duncan as the new additions.
Pobbey speaking in an interview with sportscrusader.com mentioned that the invited players are the same old faces and shows no intention of giving opportunities to other players adding that it justifies Grant’s waste of resources – staying away from the country.
“it’s the same old squad that we keep seeing. The players called contradicts the player monitoring mission he informed Ghanaians he’s embarking upon.” He stated.
He added, “Grant invited 4 players for previous friendly match against Canada but none of the quartet has been recalled. Oduro, Koffie Gershon in the MLS just to name a few have all missed out, so exactly who or which playera was he scouting?”
