Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan is excited about the appointment of former Chelsea manager, Avram Grant as new coach of the Black Stars.
Grant is set to replace Kwesi Appiah, after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) named him as the front runner for the job pending agreed terms.
Gyan said that “He has coached one of the best teams in the world and everybody knows him on the world scene.
“We just cannot wait for our first training with him. I am sure we will abide by his tactics.
Everything he brings on board, we will make sure we abide by it.”
Gyan who will miss the Black Stars’ double header against Uganda and Togo respectively in the next one week due to injury said that the team was excited about Grant’s appointment.
“We are working for the nation and he is going to be our boss so we have to listen to him. We welcome him to Ghana as a new coach of the Black Stars.”
Grant, 54, who previously coached West Ham and Portsmouth, is expected to watch the Black Stars’ matches against Uganda in Kampala on Saturday, and the final qualifier against Togo in Tamale next week.
