Immediate-past Black Stars coach Avram Grant has yet to submit his handover report to the Ghana FA.
The former Chelsea boss is no longer contracted to the West African giants following the expiration of his 27-month deal February 28.
A member of the Ghana FA Executive Committee has indicated that Grant had promised to deliver a detailed document on his stewardship including a report on Ghana’s failed attempt to win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
But the document, which is expected to help the Football Association know the progress of the Black Stars team as well guide his successor and smoothen his transition, has not been filed.
“Avram Grant is yet to submit his Afcon report to the Executive Committee. It was one of the things we discussed during Tuesday’s meeting.
“At the meeting where he [Grant] decided to leave after his contract, he promised to present his reports but till now he has not fulfilled it.
“Now, we have to contact him to know why he is yet to do so,” member Samuel Opoku Nti told Nhyira FM.
Meanwhile, the Ghana FA has officially begun the process to hire a new coach for the senior national team. A six-member Committee has been formed to lead the charge for the search of the new trainer. According to the football governing body, it has adopted a two-pronged approach – headhunting and direct applications (via info@ghanafa.org) in finding a new coach for the Black Stars.
