Great Somax, winners of Baby Jet under 16 tournament promotion
Great Somax emerged winners of the just ended Baby Jet Under-16 tournament Promotions at the Asamoah Gyan Soccer Complex in Accra Academy senior high School.
Great Somax, who exhibited good football in all four matches, defeated Cedar Star Academy 2-1 in the finals of the competition.
Though Cedar Star Academy,took the lead, Great Somax with a lot of motivation from their coach, secured the equalizer through Steven Bannerman. Bannerman scored the second goal again in the later stages of the game to make his team, Great Somax to win the match.Great Somax took away a giant trophy, medals and products from sponsors.
Mathew Kudjo, of Great Somax was also the toast of fans at the end of the tournament. Kudjo who is 16, is indeed a star in the making, as he was the brightest spot in the competition, with his amazing skills and help that made his side to become the overall winners.
In all, 16 teams participated in the competition with five clubs from five other African countries.The tournament organised by Baby Jet Promotions, was to promote unity and peace and also unearth talents.
