Accra, Aug, 8, GNA 96 A three day second quarterly boxing championship of the Greater Accra Region will run from August 16 to 18 at the Prisons Canteen at Cantonment in Accra.
The competition, which will involve all boxing gyms in the region is meant to select boxers to represent the region in future competitions. Mr Gideon Quartey, Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association and proprietor of Dade Gym at Labone said registration of boxers, which would involve taking of their photographs for accreditation, had commenced and entreated all gym managers to contact Theophilus Addo at Akotoku Academy or A.K. at Dade Gym for details.

The Vice chairman asked clubs which had not yet returned their first quarter championship trophies to do so before August 10 He said weigh-in would take place at 6:00 a.m. each day while the contest would begin at 3:00 p. m. 08 Aug. 06
