A group known as Patriotic Advocates for Truth, Peace and Development, Ghana, has called on President Akufo-Addo to effect the arrest of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
They explained that the president needs to order the national security to arrest Anas because the journalist allegedly enriches himself as he investigates cases.
The group added that Anas is not in the business of promoting public good, as many Ghanaians have been led to believe.
In a statement, the group noted that the strategies of Anas in gathering evidence for his work is unethical and inappropriate.
It also revealed that there were reports to the effect that some former government officials who worked in the John Mahama administration were caught on tape in acts of corruption, but the documentary was never premiered.
Starrfm.com.gh reports that for that reason, the group wondered if the video was no more relevant and for that matter was not released.
