Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Eric Donkor believes strongly that the return of Black Stars duo Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari will help bring back the love of the Ghana Premier League again.
Rumour had it that, the duo has been heavily linked with a sensational return to the local league in the ongoing transfer window.
Muntari is rumored to be a subject of interest for Accra Hearts of Oak while Gyan, who is a boyhood Asante Kotoko fan is believed to be considering a move to the Porcupine Warriors.
According to the Ashantigold guardsman, the love for Ghana league will bounce back should these great players decides to feature again.
Both Gyan and Muntari played for Liberty Professionals before moving to abroad and Eric Donkor is rooting for their return to help raise the standard of the GPL.
“To have these great footballers in the league will at least help in bringing fans to stadium because of the name they have in football. I know for sure that, their return will bring back the love, I know people love Muntari and Gyan so they will influence the league positively”
“They have done so well for the country and I believe their return will bring so much excitement into our game” he told Bryt Power Sports in an interview.
