Gyan is a better goal scorer in World Cup history compared to Messi - Countryman Songo

Sports broadcaster, Patrick Osei Agyemang, better known as Countryman Songo, has called on Ghanaians to support Black Stars’ captain, Asamoah Gyan.

According to a report by hotfmonlinegh.com, Songo argued that per World Cup statistics, Gyan is better than Argentine forward, Lionel Messi.

He explained that though both have scored six goals at the World Cup, Gyan needed three tournaments to reach the mark, whiles Messi used four to achieve the same mark.

Messi has played in 18 World Cup games and Gyan has participated in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 competitions. Hosting Gyan on his Fire for Fire show on Adom TV, Songo wondered why Ghanaians delight in tweeting about Messi.

He then advised Ghanaians to be proud of Asamoah Gyan, taking into consideration his exploits in world football.
