Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has ruled out a return to Europe insisting he is happy at UAE-giants Al Ain despite interest from English side West Ham.

Gyan, who is subject of an interest from West Ham, says he is not interested in returning to the English Premier League where he played for Sunderland.

His blistering scoring form has sparked interest from several clubs in Europe with West Ham said to be leading the race for the signature of the attacker.

Gyan is the leading scorer in the ongoing Asian Champions League with seven goals in six matches and despite interest from clubs in Europe, he says he is happy at Al Ain.

“No, am not in any rush to leave Al-Ain because they have been very good to me and have given me a great platform to showcase what I can do as a footballer,” Gyan told reporters.

“It’s very good to know that what I am doing here has attracted interests from some European Clubs, but I don’t have any immediate plans of returning to Europe,” the striker added.

Gyan says he is focusing on becoming a legend of Al Ain as he has already stolen the hearts of football fans in the UAE.

“Every club has a great player or a legend that helped them in the past. For me I feel this is where I belong in terms of being a legend,” he said.

“What else can a player ask for? I am getting regular playing time, the money is good (he laughs) and the coaches, players and fans love me. It’s a very great feeling here.”
