Happy FM -Sports Station of the year

Happy Fm sports was on Saturday April 28, 2007 adjudged the 2006 Best Sports Station in Ghana (Radio) for the second year running.

Event organizers, Media Trust handed over the keys to a Cielo QQ saloon car with reg.nos GT 5260Y to the Happy Fm sports crew as the prize.

By public vote and the judge’s decision, the announcement was the expectation of all present.

"We are grateful to all for the support and encouragement.Even though we were very critical we also educated, promoted and entatained.we will win the 2007 award to make it triple". Charles Osei Asibey, Sports Director said.

The crew of Odiasempa Kwame Oware,Joe Debrah,Swanzy Essumang,Boakye Ansah and the indefatigable producer Mac-Paradise Okocha were hailed by fans and dignitaries present at the function.

Happy sports which has accolades like Primus Inter-Pari,Ayehuhuuhu,Ebo boba etc won the award in 2005 and has continued to dominate in the sports presentation.

Other award winners for 2006 are Sports Columnist – Ebo Kwaitoo (Graphic Sports), Sports Writer – Ernest Asare Boadu (Graphic), Commentator – Acostic (Twi) and Joe Lartey (Eng), Sports Station (TV) – Metro TV, Sports Station (Radio) – HAPPY FM. Present an the ceremony were Hon. O B Amoah,Hon. Asamoah Boateng,John Barnes,Mr.Kwesi Nyantakyi etc…
