Head Coach of Dreams FC, Abdul Karim Zito has attributed his team’s triumph in the G-8 tournament as a result of hard work and determination.
Speaking to the press after beating Hearts of Oak 2-1 to win the trophy, the former Kotoko coach said: “We thank God, we did very well; my boys did very well. We passed through the group of death, I call it; the group that belonged to the Premier League Champions of Ghana, Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko and we were able to pass through to this stage” said coach Zito.
“I think the only secret is hard work and by the gracious God, we say thank you one more time; those who supported us positively and negatively”. Coach Zito also confessed that, starting pre-season early played an important role for his team.
“Nobody gave us the chance to qualify even from our group but we were able to do it just because we started preparation very early [and] while we were preparing some coaches were on holidays, so that’s the results”.
