Hasaacas Ladies presents trophy to WR Minister

Hasaacas Ladies Football Club, winners of the 2019 Ghana Football Association (GFA) Nomalisation Committee (NC), Special Cup, has presented the trophy to Mr. Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister.

The Hasmal Ladies, also presented the Golden Boot won by skipper Patience Agyekum for being top scorer in the competition.

Mr. Ofori Acquah, the leader of the delegation said, despite the slow and poor start of the Ladies in the competition, resilience and dedication to duty, made them move from two points in four matches to be crowned winners of the competition.

Mr. Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Regional Minister, said the victory affirmed the region's position, as a leader with a lot to offer the country.

He urged management of the team to plan, organise, coordinate and implement good policies that would attract investors into the sector.

The Minister said the government was committed to restoring confidence in the sector, "the days where one knew the scores before play is over".

Mr. Darko-Mensah told the girls that, "we are celebrating your achievement today and urge you to continue to strive for excellence in your chosen carrier to enable you to get into the international market and make some good monies for your living".

The Regional Coordinating Council later pledged a commitment of Gh5,000 to the club.
