Essipong (W/R) Nov.23, GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas were held to a goalless drawn game by Wa All Stars in the first week of the National Premier League played at the Sekondi Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Hasaacas were on top of proceedings in the first half, but wasted more than three scoring chances in the early stages.
All Stars steadily improved upon their performance to withstand the threats from the home team to end the first half on a barren note.
On resumption, both teams intensified their efforts in search of the first goals and it was All Stars who made the most out of the half as they put the defence of the home team under a considerable pressure.
In spite of this, they were unable to find the back of the net as they wasted numerous scoring chances.
Hasaacas, came back strongly in the latter stages of the game and nearly had the opener but shots from Charles Nartey and Peter Essien in the 75th minute and 80th minute, respectively, missed target narrowly.
