Hasaacas pip visiting Berekum Arsenals

Essipong, (W/R) Jan. 18 GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas on Sunday beat visiting Berekum Arsenals 1-0 in their Glo Premier League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.

Skipper Akowuah Mensah scored the much needed goal for Hasaacas in the 78th minute to become an instant hero of the home fans. Mensah stylishly headed a pass into the net of Arsenals with goalkeeper, Abdul Bobson making frantic effort to save the ball from finding target.

The goal gingered Hasaacas to look for more after scoring with the visitors hardly able to find their feet as the home side continued to pile pressure on them.

The Home team had more scoring chances but the strikers failed to convert the chances into goals following their anxiety to consolidate their lead.

The performance of both sides in the second half was a sharp contrast to the first as they both were tactical to prevent any defeat in the first half.
