Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has called on the club to have confidence in Steve Polack.
The former Berekum Chelsea manager was appointed to turn the fortunes of the club around after a experiencing torrid first half of the of the Ghana Premier League.
After the exit of Zdravko Lugarusic, the management of the club asked Godwin Ablordey to take over but Frimpong Manso eventually took over the team but failed to change the fortunes of the club.
The Udinese Calcio midfielder who failed to win the premier league with the Porcupine Warriors however believes he will be impressed even if Polack fails to win the ultimate with the club.
“I switch off my phone whenever Kotoko loses. People deliberately send me whatsapp messages just to tease me whenever we lose a game.” He told Agoo TV.
“I think the change in the technical direction after pre-season is what has borne the fruit we are seeing in the team at the moment.
“There is a new coach in charge now. And to me, even if Kotoko finishes 13th at the end of the season, coach Polack should be maintained even for two more years.
“I watched them play against Aduana few weeks ago at Dormaa. You could see he knows what he is doing and the players are working for him.” He added.
Asante Kotoko will host Wa All Stars at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the match day 19 of the GPL and will be hoping to end their winless run at home.
