Board member of Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson Nwoloko knelt before the players of the Accra based side on Tuesday at the club’s training ground [Pobiman] demanding a swift respond after Edubiase’s 2-1 defeat last Saturday.
Hearts of Oak next premier league game is against Asante Kotoko at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday and the outcome of the game will determine the Phobians position on the log sheet as they currently sit at the 14th position with 29 points in 24 league games.
The season has not been positive for the former premier league champions and the club’s management and the former management led by Nii Ayi Bonte II [Tommy Okine] are doing everything within their power to salvage the image of the oldest existing football club in Ghana.
However ahead of Hearts of Oak’s Super clash on Sunday against Asante Kotoko, Board member of the Accra giants, Frank Nelson Nwoloko at the club’s training ground knelt before his players demanding a swift respond in Kotoko’s game after Edubiase’s defeat.
“I knelt before Hearts of Oak players and pleaded with them to beat Kotoko on Sunday because our position on the log sheet is not favourable and a win over them will definitely boost our morale in our quest of beating the relegation drop, the current position of the club is not where the club should be,” Frank Nelson told Atinka FM.
He added – “At this moment it is not about motivating the team financially but the players should salvage their own reputations because if the team goes to relegation the name of the players will be written in the bad books of the club so they have to up their game in the remaining matches in the league”.
