Accra, Nov 29, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals would vie for the 2007 Edition of the H.P. Nyemitei Sports Writers Association (SWAG) Cup at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra.
The match, which is fixed for Wednesday, December 5, is under the sponsorship of the State Insurance Company (SIC) with a package of 7,500, GH cedis or (75million cedis).
After Liberty defeated Hearts of Oak in a special invitational tournament last Sunday, both sides would have a lot at stake as they battle for the SWAG Cup, which was won by Ashgold during the last edition last year at Obuasi.
Hearts of Oak is expected to use the opportunity to avenge the painful defeat suffered at the hands of the 'Scientific Soccer Lads' in the invitational tourney and as a preparatory ground ahead of the second week league match against Ashgold in the Onetouch Premier League. Liberty on the other hand would seek to affirm their dominance over the Phobians in a bid to prove to all that, the victory over Hearts in the invitational tourney was no fluke.
All roads would therefore lead to the Ohene Djan Stadium on December 5, for the SIC-SWAG Cup, as both sides are expected to use the best of materials at their disposal to ensure convincing victory.
