Accra Hearts of Oak are likely to pitch their continental campaign this year at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Hearts thus join two other clubs wanting to use the Obuasi facility in their continental campaigns. The other two are Asante Kotoko and King Faisal.
Confirming this to the Daily Graphic, Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku, the Administrative Manager of Hearts, said that the decision had been arrived at due to the uncertainty arround the use of El-Wak Stadium for their matches.
According to him Hearts was to use the El-Wak stadium but was still awaiting the approval of the Africa soccer governing authority. He stated that CAF at its last inspection called for the upgradiing of the changing rooms.
He said Hearts had applied to use the Obuasi Stadium so that in the case of any problem they would not be caught off-balance.
The only club that hasn?t applied to use the Len Clay is Berenkum Arsenals who will be playing in the Confederation Cup competition.
