Accra Hearts of Oak have vowed to overturn the results against Aviacao of Angola when they meet in the return leg of the 1/8th final of the CAF Inter Club Championship at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June first.

A statement released in Accra, on Thursday, and signed by Ashford Tetteh Oku, Administrative Manager of the club said Mr Thomas Okine, chief executive and the entire members of the executive committee, the playing body and the technical committee have decided to "sacrifice every ounce of blood and sweat to eliminate the Angolans."

It admitted that the task would not be easy but said "it is also not impossible" and referred to Hearts' miraculous victories over Mufalaria Wanderers of Tanzania and Hafia of Guinea in 1977 and 1979 respectively as landmark achievements which could be re-enacted against the Angolans on June one.

The statement said in order to make up for the loss of revenue that the club would suffer as a result of the closure of the Osu Stand of the Accra Sports Stadium, management has decided to make the "gyina ho gye raffle" which was drawn during the Hearts AS Douanes match a permanent feature of all their matches this season.

It therefore advised all paying spectators to "insist and collect their raffle coupons," adding that fans would be informed adequately about new measures any time special rates are charged for a match.

The statement listed prizes for the raffle as TV sets, bicycles, rice cookers, sound systems, thermos flasks, Phobia wall clocks and electric irons.

Hearts trail AS Aviacao by three un-replied goals from their first meeting in Angola on Sunday, May 18.
