Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager of Hearts of Oak, Joe Addo has revealed that the former premier league champions brand was not attractive to the corporate world due to their unimpressive performance in the just ended league.
The Phobians had to endure a lot of difficult times during the course of the season as in some point they were flirting around the relegation zone but in four games to end the season they imposed their superiority over their opponents both on and off the field to finish 4th with 43 points on the log sheet.
The Capital based club are yet to win a major silverware since they won the league title in 2009 and their quest to achieve that feat again has proven futile as the just ended season will go down as one of their worse seasons in the history of the club.
The Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager of the club, Joe Addo has stated the club’s brand was not attractive to the Corporate world because of their poor performance in the just ended league.
“The branding and marketing of my team is the best but the performances and results of the team is not the best,” Joe Addo told Citi fm.
“The results do not make us attractive. The sponsors only sponsor teams that are more attractive and only good results bring you that.
“My job has been difficult and I hope next season things will be easier for me.”
