Frank Nelson Nwokolo, a Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak has indicated that neither Thomas Abbey nor Winful Cobbinah will be joining Kotoko next season.

News broke during the week that Christopher Damenya who is a business mogul has promised the Kumasi based club that he will do all within his financial muscles to bring the duo to the Porcupine family next season. It’s rumoured that the contract of Thomas Abbey comes to an end in August whiles Cobbinah has a season left on his contract.

This prompted the Porcupine family who now has developed some delight in poaching the duo for next season, but Frank Nelson sees it to be a ‘no go area’ for any local club.

“I can always say it in plain language, trust me it’s a no go area, it is whether they have a financier or not and I just don’t want to comment more on this because there is no way it’s going to materialize, we have not even received any letter from Kotoko to that effect,” he stated.

With respect to, if Kotoko has what it takes to trigger their buy-out-clause, he said:

“Hearts is not willing to sell them and that’s it and that it's an area Hearts will never give a green light for it to happen.”

Thomas Abbey currently has 12 goals on the goal scorers chart of the GPL but on same goals with Ahmed Toure whiles Winful Cobbinah remains Hearts of Oak’s most influential player in the ongoing Premier League.
