Hearts of Oak coach Edward Odoom has submitted a request to the club’s board to sign striker Diawisie Taylor from Karela United, according to reports in the local media.
Diawisie has scored 54 goals 109 appearances since he joined the Nzema-Aiyinase side four seasons ago.
It’s understood coach Odoom has asked the board of the club to bring in the striker who is opened to leaving the relegation-threatened side.
Odoom is convinced Hearts must have an attacking reinforcement after Bernard Arthur and Abubakar Traore are set to quit the club over lack of playing time.
Odoom has regularly featured Kofi Kordzi, Joseph Esso and Daniel Afriyie in his attack which is regarded by fans as slightly incomplete.
Hearts have been trying to poach Inter Allies’ striker Victorien Adebayor but it is unlikely the Nigerien will move to Hearts as the Eleven Is To One have insisted the player is not for sale on the local market.
Aduana Stars and AshantiGold have also been linked with the striker in recent weeks as the second transfer window of the Ghanaian season has opened.
Hearts came close to signing the striker before the start of the season but former coach Kim Grant insisted he doesn’t need the services of the striker.
