Hearts coach slams team's display in Cup rout

Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor has blasted his players for a poor second half display in Sunday's 4-1 win over Elmina Sharks 4-1 in the MTN Ghana FA Cup.

Akunnor went on rampage in the first half to score all the goals but run out steam after the break.

Goals from Osei Bonsu, Ollenu Ashiety, Mahatma Otoo and Uriah Asante ensured the Phobians avoided a Cup upset.

Akunnor insists his team's performance was under par.

"The performance for me was not good enough," Akunnor said in an interview.

"We gave a lot of square passes and were unable to control the pace of the game.

"If you are leading 4-1 you should be able to dominate the game and we didn't."

Hearts will now face Premier League side AshantiGold in the quarter final of the only competition.
