Hearts of Oak Public Relationship Officer (PRO), Kwame Opare Addo has justified why the club decided to adopt the grassless Tesano pitch for their pre-season.

According to the PRO, the club’s decision to use the Tesano pitch was because there was no available training pitch hence their earlier decision.

The Phobians were hugely criticized for adapting the grassless pitch for their pre-season as many believed it would expose the players to injuries and also it doesn’t befit the club’s status

However, the Accra giants saw the need and they have now moved their training from the Tesano grassless pitch to a grass field at Legon.

“We were forced to move to the Police Depot after several attempts to have the Presec Park, El-Wak and even the ATTC Park failed,” he said.

He added: “We were told those pitches were not available and, therefore, we had to settle on the Police Depot Park.”
