Accra, June 23, GNA - The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has with immediate effect lifted the one month ban it imposed on its winger, Bernard Don Bortey.

Last month the management of Hearts slapped a month's ban on the player for skipping training without permission and for making some false pronouncement on air.

A statement signed by Mr Ashford Tettey Oku, Administrative Manager of the Club copied to the GNA Sports said after the expiration of the one-month suspension last Monday, the Club has decided to lift the ban with immediate effect. The player subsequently retracted the statement and pleaded with the management for leniency.

It said even though the Club refused the player's earlier plea for clemency, they have taken note of his promise to be of good behaviour and his letter of apology. The statement reminded Bortey to live by his own words and be of good behaviour. Bortey as a sign of the changing times, featured in Hearts friendly encounter against Dwarfs last Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.
