Hearts nominate four for player of the year award

Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have shortlisted four of their key players for the player of the year award.

The list includes Captain Thomas Abbey, midfielder sensation Winful Cobinna, winger Patrick Razak and erstwhile defender Vincent Atinga.

The players will be voted for the award by fans of the club.

The club released a statement on the website with key stats of the shortlisted players.

The Statement read:

We have nominated four players for the Hearts Player of the Year 2017 award.

Patrick Razak, Thomas Abbey, Vincent Atingah Adae, and Winful Cobbinah have been nominated for their stellar roles with the club in 2017.

Patrick Razak: Played 25 matches in the league; scored two goals and assisted three goals. He scored two goals from five appearances in the FA Cup.

Thomas Abbey: He played 26 matches in the league and scored 13 goals. He scored only a goal in five matches in the FA Cup competition.

Vincent Atingah: He played 27 matches in the league and scored five goals. The defender also scored three goals in five matches in the FA Cup competition.

Winful Cobbinah: He played in 15 matches in the league and scored four goals and provided 8 assists. The midfielder played in four FA Cup matches.
