Hearts not serious – Yahaya Mohammed

Striker Yahaya Mohammed has confirmed he was approached by Hearts of Oak prior to his move to Aduana Stars.

The 27-year-old has joined the Fire club as a free agent following the termination of his contract at Libyan club Ittihad Tripoli.

Mohammed has signed a two-year contract with Aduana but revealed he almost joined Hearts of Oak – only the Accra-based club didn’t show keen interest in signing him,

“Hearts of Oak showed interest but they didn’t show keen interest in me,” he said.

“They didn’t show any seriousness in signing me.”

Yahaya Mohammed played for Tema Youth and Asante Kotoko before joining Ittihad earlier last year.

His contract with the Libyan club was however terminated due to unpaid wages.
