Hearts of Oak: Keni prefers Kuffour to Boampong

Head coach of Hearts of OakKenichi Yatsuhashi, has called for the immediate signing of Hearts of Lions defender, John Kuffour areplacement for Phillip Boampong.

The Japanese-American coach is on the verge of announcing his final squad ahead of next weeks preseason camp and has made Kuffour one of the players he will like to work with in the coming season.

Sources close to the coach reveal that the coach will prefer the former Asante Kotoko defender to Phillip Boampong and has made this known to the management.

Speaking in an interview, the management member said In every position theres a cut-off point and the coach wants to have John Kuffour rather than Boampong and has toldManagement about it.

Kuffour,who was reported to have been driven away from the team's training grounds at the Tesano Police Depot has astonishingly caught the eye of the Japanese trainer and may don the Rainbow colours come next season.

Its not only Boampong who the coach wants out, a few other players, but we are waiting for him to present his final list for the preseason camping program, then we will know what to do.
