Accra Hearts of Oak have officially announced Nana Yaw Amankwah as their new assistant coach, just days before their crucial preseason fixture.
"We are thrilled to introduce Nana Yaw Amankwah as our new assistant coach. We look forward to his expertise and the positive energy he brings to our team," the club stated on their social media platforms.
Amankwah will work alongside head coach Aboubakar Ouattara as the Phobians prepare for the 2024 Homowo Cup against Heart of Lions.
The match, scheduled for Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, is a significant test for Hearts as they aim to lift the ceremonial trophy ahead of the 2024/25 season.
After narrowly losing 2-1 to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup, Hearts of Oak are determined to secure a victory and build momentum for the upcoming campaign.
Accra Hearts of Oak will start their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign against Heart of Lions on September 13 at the Kpando Stadium.
