The Hearts of Oak board met the team at their Pobiman training ground ahead of Sunday’s decisive Super Clash against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The board chairman, Togbe Afede, led the delegation, which included the chief of Swedru, to meet the players after training in Accra before they departed for Kumasi.
“The visit of our Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, and Nana Okogyeaman-1, chief of Swedru, before the SUPER CLASH,” the club stated on social media.
The Phobians' season has been below par, as they are just five points away from the relegation zone.
Both clubs have had a mediocre season and will be looking to compensate their fans with a better performance in the biggest game of Ghanaian football.
Asante Kotoko has secured three wins in their recent six home matches, aiming to defend their home record against their fiercest rivals.
On the other hand, Hearts of Oak have faced challenges in their last six games, suffering three defeats and winning just two, reflecting a challenging phase in their season.
