New Edubiase FC President Abdul Salam Yakubu has confirmed Hearts of Oak's interest in their lethal striker, Bernard Ofori.
Ofori was one of the best players at Eduabiase set up and his striking pair with Fuseini Nuhu, helped the Bekwai based club beat the drop zone at the just ended First Capital Plus Bank Premier League.
Bernard Ofori has been targeted by a host of premier league clubs including, Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold and Aduana Stars but it is the Phobians who have officially made their intention clear by writing to New Edubaise requesting the services of the 25 year old attacker.
“It is true, Hearts of Oak have written to us for the services of Bernard Ofori, we are yet to meet to discuss about his transfer, Ofori is a good player and a lot of club in Ghana have targeted him but it is Hearts who have made their intentions clear,” Yakubu said in an interview.
With the appointment of a new coach [Kenichi Yatsuhashi], the Phobians have been busy in the transfer market but they have not signed any player.
