Hearts of Oak escape demotion

Premier league side, Accra Hearts of Oak avoided being demoted to division one courtesy the head-to-head rule.

The Appeals Committee of the GFA overturned the earlier ruling by the Disciplinary Committee, which declared Hearts as winners.

But after the turn of events, the Appeals Committee ruled the case in favour of Asante Kotoko, thereby reverting the 6 points 6 goals to Kotoko, and rescinding the decision of the GHc5000 fine.

The current decision, leaves Hearts at the 13th position with 40 points from 30 games, the same accrued by Lions.

The Phobians defeated Lions at home by 4 goals to nil and lost away to Lions 0-1.
