Hearts of Oak assistant coach, Nana Yaw Amankwah has called on the club’s fans to continue supporting the team despite their poor start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians recently suffered a 2-0 defeat against Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 15, 2024, marking their second loss in as many matches.
The previous weekend, they were defeated 1-0 by newly promoted Basake Holy Stars, leaving them at the bottom of the league table.
"This league is a marathon. Last season, we started very well but didn't finish strong. This season, we are still struggling to find our winning form. But what I can tell the supporters is that they should still have some patience.
"They should try as much as possible to support the players and the team. With their support, the team will change," Amankwah said after the match.
Hearts of Oak are set to host Bechem United in their match week three game this coming weekend, although the venue has yet to be announced.
