Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall was left upset after his side conceded two first half goals from set pieces in their 2-0 defeat to Aduana Stars in Dormaa.
The Scotsman tasted his first defeat in the Ghana top-flight and also the club's first of the season.
Daniel Darkwah and Derrick Sasraku headed in goals to give the leaders a major lift.
''The second half was better than the first half, I asked for a reaction from my players after the first half and I got the reaction and that was good,'' Nuttall said in a post-match interview.
''But anytime you lose a goal from set pieces or open play you are disappointed, and you will be disappointed if you lose points.''
