Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed revoking the suspension on former Ghana winger Laryea Kingston.

The former Hearts of Midlothian player was given an indefinite suspension in February this year after allegedly assaulting the accountant of the club, something he has vehemently denied.

Kingston’s contract with the club will expire at the end of next month and according to Hearts’ PRO, his suspension has been annulled to pave way for his release.

“The management has taken a decision to withdraw all sanctions against Laryea Kingston, but we have not released him since his contract elapses at the end of July.

“We think it will be a contradictory exercise if at the end of July, we give him his release letter and he is still under suspension.

“We are doing this in anticipation of releasing him when his contract expires because a player under suspension cannot be transferred,” Mueed Saeed told Accra based Joy fm.

Kingston’s return to the local league to play for Hearts of Oak was marred by controversies ranging from truancy and breaking camp rules among others.
