Hearts of Oak still owe me - Legendary Agyemang Duah cries out

Former Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Edward Agyemang Duah, popularly known as Rambo, has revealed that the club still owes him and his former teammates money received from FIFA as compensation for not participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The club had promised players a share of the compensation money but, according to Duah, the players have not been fully paid.

Duah, who played for Okwawu United, Asante Kotoko, Ashantigold, and the Black Stars of Ghana, recalled that the players were initially given $3,000 each but were informed that more money was owed to them.

He mentioned that several former players, including Amankwah Mireku and Osei Kuffour, have also raised this issue.

"This matter is still there; our money is still with Hearts. If you ask all the players, our money is still with Hearts; they have not paid us. We would have been the first team to go to the World Club Championship, but it didn’t happen," he told the Ernest Brew Smith Show on YouTube.

"FIFA compensated us, and management also acknowledged that the money has arrived. We were given something; you would be there, and they would call you and give you $3,000 at that time.

"They let us know our money is with them. We did some paperwork on it, but who is saying it for you? Some of the boys, when they meet, they ask. Amankwah Mireku asked, Osei Kuffour was interviewed, I think by Dan in America, and he raised it."
