The new Chief Executive Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mark Noonan has issued a strong warning to players of the club, saying they must be prepared to ‘fight’ and ‘die’ for the club or face the sack.

Noonan is promising to revolutionized football management, but wants everyone, especially the playing body to be on board as he attempts to make Hearts of Oak great again.

“As management, I believe we will not have any problems with these players. But what I asked of them (the players) is that fist and foremost that they play for the crest, and the club and if they don’t do that we are going to put them on the transfer-list, because if they don’t want to be here, then we don’t want them here. They must understand that the club comes before anybody.

“Secondly, I want them to know that I understand how short careers can be and because of that we would not hold any player back if they can go to a higher platform as long as it is good business for the club and for the player”.

Nonaan also assured the players that his administration will give them the best tools and environment to make them become the best possible players they can be.

The new CEO who has been tasked by the Hearts of Oak Board to make the Phobians great again, is eager to hit the ground running, but with the Ghana Premier League yet to start, his hands are tied.

Mark Noonan, who has vast experience working in America‘s Major League Soccer says emotions and egos must make way for cool heads in order to solve the problem between the Ghana Football Association and Accra Great Olympics.

He is also expected to help Hearts of Oak win its first Premier League trophy in almost a decade.

At his unveiling last Wednesday, Noonan said he would not have come to Ghana and Hearts of Oak if he didn’t feel he could help take the club to the next level, which is why he is eager to see the Ghana league start as soon as possible.
