Mohammed Polo says Accra Hearts of Oak shouldn’t waste their time in the law court to contest the decision of the Appeals Committee to uphold Kotoko’s appeal against the Disciplinary Committee, but should concentrate on recruitment to get quality players ahead of next season.
The Disciplinary Committee declared Hearts of Oak winners of their match day 25 league defeat to Asante Kotoko, following a protest over the ineligibility of Obed Owusu.
However, Kotoko who docked 6 points on Tuesday won an appeal and got their points back, while Hearts of Oak lost the 3 points they were made richer2 to send them from the 4 position to 13 position as their worst finish since the inception of the Ghana league in the 156/57 season.
Hearts officials have sworn to sort all means possible to overturn the Appeals Committee’s ruling, but the legendary Mohammed Polo has advised them to pay attention to next season instead of wasting their time on litigation.
“Hearts of Oak should let bygone be bygone and concentrate on the next football season instead of contest sting the decision of the Appeals Committee to uphold Kotoko’s appeal against the Disciplinary Committee,” he told Hot FM.
“The good thing is that Hearts of Oak didn’t suffer relegation, so instead of resorting to court action, they should be busy in the transfer market to get good strikers to make us stronger next season.
“It was Coach Herbert Addo who wanted to disgrace Hearts of Oak by guiding us to relegation”.
