Accra, March 21, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited is considering referring its player, Louis Agyemang to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to effect its disciplinary measures on him for a breach of contract.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals that the Club considers the player's continuous absence at training and other assignments as a clear unilateral breach of contract since they have a valid contract with Agyemang, which runs till the end of June this year. The move would be the first action to be taken by Hearts after serving the player with a letter of caution almost a month ago.

According to the information, the stand of Hearts to report the player to the GFA for breach of contract was also strengthened by the declaration of the player as a valid property of Hearts by the Status Committee of the GFA.

The management of the Club is expected to hand over a letter on the issue to the player on his return from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Agyemang is among the eight local players who were selected by coach Ratomir Dujkovic, head coach of the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifier against DR Congo on Sunday, March 27.

The Stars left Accra on Monday evening for camping and acclimatisation in Kenya before their encounter against the DR Congo for the crucial match.

The matter is likely to arrive at the corridors of the GFA by the close of this week or early next week if the player fails to report for training as well as make himself available for Club assignment according to information reaching the GNA Sports.

Aside this, the Club is said to be considering other legal options against the player to serve as a deterrent to other players who thread the same path in future.

Agyemang has been battling with Hearts for the past three months over contractual problems as he claims he has no contract with the Club whilst Hearts insist they have a valid contract with the player.

The player dragged the Club to the Status Committee of the GFA but failed in his bid to secure a floating status as the Committee did not rule in his favour.

He has for the past three months failed to feature for Hearts in both the domestic and continental competitions.
