Former board chairman of Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakkour, has lamented the club’s lack of signings ahead of the season.

The Phobians saw their most disappointing season in recent times, finishing 13th on the 2014-15 league table. This has led to a series of agitations from supporters and past officials.

Zakkour is unhappy with the current management and has taken a swipe at board chairman Togbe Afede XIV and newly-appointed Japanese coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

According to the outspoken administrator, Afede has neglected ex-team executives in the current management of the club.

“Togbe doesn’t respect us [previous club officials]. He didn’t even call us to appreciate our efforts” Zakkour told Boss FM.

“We are not going to get involved when the league starts and for the Toyota engineer [Kenichi] he has brought, we will see what he can do.

“We don’t know whether he has plans of bringing players from abroad. Let us wait and see what he can do. I leant supporters in Kumasi are not happy.

“He thinks he can do it. He is a leader and you don’t lead a club with such arrogance. Maybe he will be bringing Messi and Ronaldo. That could be why he has been quiet on the transfer market.”

Hearts are currently in camp ahead of the new season which is expected to commence on December 20.

The club has also appointed Ghana winger Yaw Preko and Nassam Yakubu as assistant coach and goalkeepers’ trainer respectively.
