Accra Hearts of Oak’s search for a new coach is set to extend as negotiations with Herbert Addo have stalled following the trainer’s demand of a whopping ¢8,500 as his monthly salary.
The Accra-based giants are seeking for a new coach following the exit of Coach Mohammed Polo but the process has stalled due to disagreement over the financial demands of their top target Addo.
Hearts officials are hoping to secure the services of the former Inter Allies manager, but the coach’s demands, Hearts sources say, is way above the expectations of the club.
The demands by Coach Addo has, therefore, compelled Hearts’ hierarchy to slow down on their negotiations with the coach who was said to be earning GH¢5,000 a month during his days at Inter Allies.
Hearts sources say coach Addo’s demand could stem from the treatment meted out to coach Duncan by Hearts, hence his resolve to insist on such an amount in order to be ensured of some job security.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the uncertainty, Hearts are said to be eyeing the former Aduana Stars coach, Miloslav Bogdanovic, should talks with coach Addo fail.
Coach Addo, in an earlier interview with the Graphic Sports indicated that he was ready to coach any club provided the offer is good and satisfactory.
His contract with Inter Allies run out at the end of the season and he is free to move on to any club.
