'Herbert, Alhaji Grusah advised me to contest'

Renowned sports broadcaster Sometimer Otuo Acheampong has revealed that he was convinced by gurus Herbert Mensah and Alhaji Karim Grusah to contest the Ghana FA Executive Committee post.

According to the Coventry University graduate, the two advised him to go for the mantle due to his vast experience as a journalist, academician and an administrator.

“Mr. Herbert Mensah and Alhaji Karim Grusah have personally called on me severally to get in the Executive Committee of the FA to make a direct impact. And I think they are right. This is the time we have to make some direct positive effects in the governance of football in Ghana,” Sometimer disclosed.

“I think my contribution to the game both as a journalist and as an administrator demonstrated to them that I can make some positive contributions up there.

“I have assisted many football administrators behind the scenes who all think I need to be in the executive committee. So invariably they want me to be there to champion the course I have been championing.”
