Ghanaian international Asamoah Gyan has acknowledged ‘it feels good to be home’ after he arrived in Accra on Tuesday from his base in China.

The Black Stars’ striker returned home after the end of the Chinese Super League season where Shanghai SIPG finished second and booked a place in the Asian Champions league next season.

“Good to be home...happy to see the family again,” Gyan tweeted when he arrived.

The Ghanaian returned from a nasty injury to play in the last game of the season for his club and will be available for the national team for their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros Islands.

Gyan has promised to have a birthday bash when he turns 30 on November 22, at his deluxe residence. He has also promised to redeem a pledge to the national women’s team, Black Queens, for winning gold at the 2015 All Africa Games.
