Honest driver returns missing bag belonging to GFA Deputy Communications Manager

In an inspiring act of honesty, Emmanuel Obeng Anane, a commercial Uber driver, returned a bag containing valuable items belonging to Tophic Abdul Kadir, the Deputy Communications Manager of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The incident occurred after Ghana's Black Stars suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Angola in Kumasi. Tophic, returning to Accra after the game, hired Emmanuel to take him from Medie to Tema Community 2. Upon reaching his destination, Tophic mistakenly left his bag in the Uber, which contained essential items such as a MacBook Pro, his passport, ID cards, and an undisclosed amount of money.

Realizing his mistake only after Emmanuel had driven off, Tophic initially thought he had lost the bag for good, as he had no contact information for the driver.

To his amazement, at 4:00 a.m. the following morning, Emmanuel returned to where he had dropped Tophic off, with the bag and all its contents intact.

The next Monday, the benevolent driver was invited to the headquarters of the Ghana FA where he met leadership of the communications department and some Executive Council members.

Despite initially receiving some good reward for his kindness upon returning the bag, the driver was showered with some gifts at the headquarters of the Ghana FA.

Executive Council member Nana Sarfo Oduro rewarded Emmanuel, the driver, with an undisclosed amount of money and encouraged him to continue to be kind.

This remarkable act of honesty highlights the integrity of the driver and reinforces the value of trust in such services.
