Horse Racing action on Saturday- Guinness Gold Cup

Topflight horse racing action returns to the all-weather surface at Accra Race Course on Saturday when 11 horses,including six debutants line-up for the prestigious annual Guinness Gold Cup.

There will be five racing categories without hurdles with the main event, the ''Guinness National Challenge Gold Cup'' to be contested for by first and second division''A'' and second division ''B'' horses over 10 furlongs.

Other races will include the 6-furlong ''Michael Power Trophy'' for fourth division A'' and third division ''B'' horses, the ''Malta Guinness Trophy'' over 6 furlongs for the Novice, a seven-furlong ''I Feel Good'' race for Fourth division B and C horses and ''The 1756 Trophy'' for Third division ''A'' horses over seven furlongs.

As usual lively performances are expected from topnotch horses like Who Jah Bless and One Step Ahead.Their traditional dominances would however be challenged severely by the other horses in Kalitex, One Love, We are Going We are Going, Shouta, Madam X, Kiss the Bride, Sun, Back in Front and Bare Back.
