Philippine gymnast Carlos Yulo has been showered with numerous rewards for becoming the first man to win an Olympic gold medal for his country at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
According to sports journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, Yulo will receive a house from the government, a fully furnished two-bedroom condo worth 24 million Philippine pesos, and 10 million pesos in cash from the Philippine Sports Commission.
Additionally, Yulo will be provided with well-furnished furniture at no cost and free meals from selected restaurants in the country.
“A house gifted by the country’s government, a fully furnished two-bedroom condo valued at 24 million Philippine pesos, 10 million in cash from the Philippine Sports Commission. 3 million in cash from the country’s House of Representatives, a lifetime of free ramen, free buffets, and free meals from numerous local establishments.
"1,000 Philippine pesos worth of furniture, a lifetime of free cookies from a place called Cookie by Bucket, an iPhone 16, and a lifetime of free engineering design by Nexa Engineering,” Fentuo shared in a post on X on August 7, 2024.
