Former world wrestling champion, Hollywood Hulk Hogan of the USA, will visit Ghana to witness the inauguration of the newly formed Ghana Wrestling Association on October 8.
The new association, chaired by Shelley U Amos of Shelley Foods and Drinks Company, has other personalities like Ghana Olympic Committee First Vice President ? Frank Appiah servicing on the interim executive board.
Others are Dr Mustapha Ahmed, MP for Ayawaso East who is the Special Advisor to the Association, Mr George Adomako, Head of Marketing, Mr Ebenezer King Aikins, Head of Finance, Mr Isaac K. Mensah, Deputy General Secretary and Head of Administration, MR Samuel Ebo Okwaitoo of Graphic Sports, head of publicity, Ms Christie Nyasegbe head of mobilisation and events management.
The rest are Mr Bernard Ashiangmor, General Programmes Co-ordinator and Mrs Rita Amos, Head of Corporate Affairs.
The inauguration will be spiced with a titanic wrestling clash between Ghana-based Nigerian wrestler Power Vic, also known as Victor Akpong, and the current Nigerian light heavyweight wrestling champion De Young Commodone, aka Commodre Josiah.
The two wrestlers, who have been taunting each over the past weeks, are expected to exhibit their prowess in the sport.
