Godwin Attram who doubles as the head coach and a player of Accra Great Olympics has lashed out his critics, who believe he is arrogant and disrespectful to authorities.
After suffering a 2-1 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak, coach Attram stated that he is always going to be honest with his coaching career and that his honesty has been misinterpreted to mean arrogance and disrespect.
"I want to let the people of Ghana know that I spent many years in Europe and I have learnt a lot from there, because of my honesty, people think I am arrogant or I don’t listen to advice, I want to tell everyone that there’s nothing like that.
"I want to be honest in my coaching career, I can’t be a loser for people to control my actions. They feel that I’m disrespectful but sincerely I am being honest with my job that’s all.
"If because of my honesty, they don’t like me, then I am sorry to tell them that this is how I was trained in my 20years abroad. I am making decisions all by myself now, we all saw an entirely different team.
"It’s very unfortunate that we did not win the games, we promised to win but this is football, I do not know what is really wrong with my side, because we have been playing so well in all our games, but we have failed to win any of them.
"Everyone who watched us today will attest to our level of performance but this is football, win will come, you will lose and draw some games, we want to pick up and turn things around,” said Godwin Attram.
