Ex-Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak star Joe Louis has hit out at the local press for their constant criticisms of experienced players which scare them away.

Louis, who featured for both of Ghana’s top two clubs, slammed the media for branding experienced as ‘old horses’.

He played in a number of Super Clash games and courted controversy in one of those games as Hearts fans blamed him for diving.

The one-time cunning dribbler has stated that he is not yet a finished article as he plies his trade with third-tier side Kakyire FC.

“I still have some few years ahead of me to play active football but the media will do everything possible to condemn me and put in the minds of the public that I am old and have nothing better to offer,”

“I am very strong and active to play competitive soccer but the media always condemn experience players and label them as too old to play,” he added.
